So, what we’re trying to do is to intentionally blind ourselves with one of a distinctive qualities of a person. Doesn’t quite make sense. It’s like taking out color vision. And think of it this way, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I’d take callagnosia as a form of censorship. First, it starts in callagnosia, next some form of blindness to race and ethnicity to god-knows-what next. Eventually, we lose the form of humanity in itself, essentially making us robots. No emotion, no free will.
The closest thing to simulating callagnosia is to well, blinding yourself. Add speed dating, and you now have a good simulation. The problem is that while everyone may seem nice, it’s the long-term relationship will be the issue. Beauty is just one of the factors of attraction, not the end-all be-all solution.
